NICOLA MCKENZIE: Raising the profile of Iwade

THE rapidly growing village of Iwade has launched its own website, packed with information.

The site, Iwade village.co.uk, not only contains local news and events, plus facts on clubs and activities, but also has full details of the village calendar and minutes of the parish council.

Local businesses are listed and there is a free advertising facility. Website browsers can find out about Iwade’s village warden and what’s happening in churches, schools and the health centre.

The website idea came from villager Nicola McKenzie, of McKenzie Web Solutions.

She said: “Iwade has grown dramatically in recent years. With lots of new residents and many more activities now taking place, it seemed like a good idea to pull all this information together in a website for villagers and anybody else who’s interested.

“My aim was to create something that could help newcomers to the village, while meeting the needs of more established residents.”

Anyone wanting to place a free classified advertisement on the site or wishing to have their business listed should send an email to Nicola at: nicola@iwadevillage.co.uk.
