Now Big Brother's in a lollipop!

You've seen them on A-roads, in town centres and even mounted in vans.

Now a CCTV camera is being mounted...in a lollipop!

A lollipop camera is going into service to catch drivers who ignore a crossing guard.

Road signs are being put up near the village primary school in Dymchurch, which is near to the main A259, to warn of the camera’s presence and hopefully deter would-be car louts.

The camera, the first of its kind in east Kent, has a tilt-switch inside that turns it on automatically when the lollipop is brought upright.
