Fire crews from Maidstone and Headcorn were called to a lorry, oil tanker, tyres, and vehicles alight at a gipsy site in Water Lane, Headcorn, just before 10.45pm yesterday.

Firefighters were stood down at about 20 minutes past midnight. Although there were acetylene cylinders at the site the fire service confirmed no exclusion zone was put in place
