A MEDWAY organisation has clicked with judges in an e-commerce competition.

Medway Positive Parenting Network, based in Military Road, Chatham, is among 25 organisations in the south east shortlisted in the 2002 UK online for busines/InterForum E-Commerce Awards.

Its website www.medwayppn.org attracted the judges' eye in the voluntary and community category.

The network helps parents and carers, linking family support services in the Medway area.

It provides support for 100 online partners and makes advice and information available to a local population of 250,000.

The network is one of five from the county with a chance of landing a national cash prize worth £30,000.

Other categories are micro business, e-business and e-trading.

The regional category winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Feltham, Middlesex - the headquarters of regional sponsor SAP on June 19.

Other Kent-based organisations on the shortlist are: Just Phones, Paddock Wood (www.justphones.co.uk); NLIS Searchflow, Dartford (www.searchflow.co.uk); RHA Telecom, Folkestone (www.rhatelecom.co.uk); and Happygroup, Tatsfield (www.friendsreunited.co.uk).

The E-Commerce Awards are sponsored nationally by the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Cisco Systems and aim to celebrate and reward organisations that are successfully using e-commerce, new technologies or the Internet to improve and transform their operation.

The awards are open to any organisation with fewer than 250 employees that meet the criteria.
