Two men have denied charges following an incident in Smeeth in which armed police were called.

Myles Yarney, 35, and Steven McIntosh, 40, pleaded not guilty to possessing a firearm on August 26, assault causing actual bodily harm and affray.

Yarney also denied possessing Class A drugs.

Yarney, of North Road, Hythe, and McIntosh, of Bindon Blood, Whitfield, Dover, were granted bail until their trial on January 5.
