DELIGHTED: Allan Willett

CHARITY volunteers and others whose good work is a credit to Kent have received invitations to Buckingham Palace Garden Parties during July.

They include youth workers, long-service parish councillors, charity co-ordinators, school governors, and others who have made positive contributions in fields ranging from archaeology to the health service and from ex-Service organisations to business.

Allan Willet, the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, said: "The Buckingham Palace Garden Party guest lists include many from Kent who have devoted a great deal of time and energy to charitable and other voluntary work in the community, or have brought great credit on the County in other ways.

"I am delighted that they are being honoured in this way."
