New parents Nick and Clare Perry have waited five long years for the two beautiful Christmas presents they got this Christmas Day.

The Rochester couple couldn’t have wished for more from Santa than their twin daughters Megan and Amiee.

The girls were born by Caesarean section on Christmas afternoon, at Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham.

Megan came first, at 3.27pm and weighed in at 6lb 2oz with Amiee arriving just a minute later, weighing 6lb 10oz.

Nick and Clare, who live just off The Esplanade, are very proud of their new little bundles of joy.

Nick said: “The girls were conceived using IVF treatment and we’ve waited five years for them to arrive.

“They are the best Christmas present ever.”
