Pedestrian 'serious' after collision with car

A PENSIONER received serious head injuries after being struck by a car.

The accident happened shortly before 11am on Tuesday in Corporation Street, Rochester.

Police officers closed the road and the Kent Air Ambulance was called to the scene.

The 72-year old pedestrian was taken to hospital. His injuries are said to be serious but not life-threatening.
