Pensioner run over by own car in Walderslade

Kent Air Ambulance

A pensioner who ran over himself with his own car had to be taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

The Kent Air Ambulance was called to Wiltshire Close in Walderslade where it borders Somerset Close.

The 70-year-old car owner was treated for leg fractures and cuts and bruises.
A spokesman for the air ambulance said: “The call was made to us by the land ambulance.

“It took us 10 minutes to get there and we landed in a nearby clear grassy area.
“The man sustained leg fractures and grazes and bruises plus a possible head injury.

“He was treated by the air ambulance crew who then escorted him to Medway Maritime Hospital by land ambulance, which took about 10 minutes.”
The accident happened at around 12pm on Monday. Police also attended the scene.
