Pensioner struck by car 'improving'

A PENSIONER hit by a car on Wednesday is said to be "stable and improving".

The 70-year-old man was in collision with a silver VolkesWagon at the junction of Ridgeway and Station Hill in Hayes, Bromley, at 7.45am.

The man was airlifted to Royal London Hospital with serious head injuries.

The man driving the car was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further investigation.
