AN ELDERLY couple had a narrow escape after their house caught fire.

The couple from Anglesey Avenue, Loose, were not hurt in the fire, thought to have been caused by an electrical fault.

Firefighters arrived at the smoke-filled house at midnight and rescued the couple.

The house was smoke-damaged. The couple were checked over by paramedics but were unhurt.
