Tips on how to look after your pet rabbit were given to families at special workshops.

Pets at Home in Wincheap held the event to mark National Rabbit Week.

Around 30 children brought along their bunnies and learned about handling, grooming, diet, veterinary care and hutches.

Store manager Dan Harding said: “It was a great turnout and I hope the children went home with a much better understanding of how to care for their pets.

“If we teach children at an early age what it means to own a pet, we can ensure they will become responsible owners in the future.”
