Police accused of parking illegally at busy junction

First there was Medway Council's mobile CCTV unit leaving motorists fuming after parking up on double yellow lines.

Now it's the turn of Kent Police to deny if there's one rule for the public and another rule for them.

This picture, taken by a reader, shows a police car bumped up on a kerb on the corner of a busy junction in Gillingham.

It clearly shows an officer returning with a couple of hot drinks, apparently oblivious to the dangers as cars swerved to pass by. Kent Police have launched an internal inquiry.
