Sundin Jewellers, Whitstable High Street was targeted by masked robbers

Robbers are believed to have fled with thousands of pounds in jewellery after threatening shop staff with metal poles.

Two men entered Sundin Jewellers on Whitstable's High Street at around 4.45pm yesterday.

The masked robbers demanded staff hand over jewellery, before fleeing in a red Toyota Carina car.

This was later abandoned at Lamberhurst Farm in Dargate.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the robbery or who saw the red Toyota being driven in the area prior to, during or after the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 01843 222089 or alternatively call Kent CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
