A woman in her 60s was killed as she tried to cross a road in the St Stephen's area of Canterbury on Friday afternoon.

She was struck by a Vauxhall Corsa as she stepped from a parked car in The Terrace at 4.35pm.

Emergency services attended the scene, but could not save the woman who had suffered fatal injuries.

Her family have been informed and Kent Police are investigating the crash.
