Kent Police

Three teenage boys have been arrested after a car was pelted by stone-throwing yobs.

A Mazda MX5 was in a crash with a Ford Focus after its windscreen was smashed by the stone throwers near Brands Hatch on Sunday.

The Mazda swerved and braked sharply, causing the Ford Focus behind to go into the back of it.

Now police are appealing for anyone who saw the smash, at around 7pm on London Road near the Portobello Inn, to contact them.

Investigating officer, PC Chris Relf, said: "We’re looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident itself or been outside the Portobello Inn on Sunday evening at 7pm and saw three young men running down the street.

"This was a highly dangerous prank and there have been similar cases which have had fatal consequences. Thankfully, no-one was hurt in this collision, but the outcome could easily have been very much worse."

Anyone who saw the incident should contact police on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
