A 65-YEAR-OLD woman was left shaken after being attacked by a man with wavy blond hair at Cliftonville, near Margate.

The woman was walking in Cliff Terrace in the early hours of Friday, June 4. She saw a man standing around, but did not pay him much attention and continued walking into Ethelbert Terrace where she noticed the man had started following her.

As she turned into Edgar Road the man grabbed her from behind and attempted to put his hand over her mouth. As he did so he scratched her face and she began to scream and struggle. This scared the man off, and he fled back into Ethelbert Terrace.

The woman was left shaken by the incident but has managed to give police a description of the man.
