Police want to speak to this man in connection with a fraud incident at Nationwide, Sheerness

Police have released a CCTV image of man they want to speak to after a fraud at a high street bank.

A man was checking his balance at a machine outside Nationwide in Sheerness and left his debit card inside by accident.

Shortly after, another man used the card to withdraw £50 before taking the card into the bank and asking how much was in the account.

He then asked if he could make a withdrawal.

The cashier recognised the name on the card was not the man asking for a withdrawal, so refused to serve him and he left.

The card was then stopped and no more money was taken.

Police are hoping to speak to the man pictured so they can get more information or rule him out of their inquiries.

The incident happened on Thursday, February 10, at 3.13pm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police in Swale on 01795 419 182 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
