Diesel thieves are swiping fuel in west Kent.

That comes from the police, after they discovered a vehicle containing 6,000 litres of diesel in a number of containers during a stop check on the M20 near Wrotham on December 2.

They believe the diesel may be stolen, and that it may have happened only a short time earlier.

Det Con Mark Howell said: "If you have a large quantity of diesel stored within a relatively short driving distance of the M20 near Wrotham please check your tanks and if a significant quantity is missing contact police." He is& also investigating the theft of 7,000 litres of diesel taken from industrial premises at Platt Industrial Estate, Platt near Sevenoaks overnight between November 30 and December 1.
