Police urge caution after sex attacks

Police have released these images of a man wanted for questioning in connection with attacks on two women in Gillingham

Women are being warned to be cautious following two sexual assaults in Gillingham.

Medway Police issued the warning after reports of two attacks which took place in the early hours of Saturday, September 6.

Police are looking for one suspect. He is described as a white middle-aged man of average build with short dark hair possibly greying. He was wearing denim jeans and a dark coloured, zip-up top, believed to be denim.

In the first incident he was described as wearing a baseball cap. He had a scruffy appearance and smelt strongly of alcohol.

Det Insp Lee Whitehead who is leading the investigation said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the man and I urge people to cast their minds back to the morning of Saturday September 6.

"Information that may seem insignificant could prove extremely useful and may help us with our investigation."
