DETECTIVES have issued a warning following the seizure of a card-cloning device from a cash point machine.

Officers were called to Chalkwell Road, Sittingbourne, on Wednesday, April 12, after receiving a report of a suspicious device on the ATM.

It is thought that it had been placed there sometime during the morning.

Det Con Keith Fraiser said: “If you feel there is something suspicious about the cash point you are using, report it immediately. It is also advisable that you get into the habit of covering your hand when entering your pin so if someone is using a pinhole camera they will be unable to get your number.

“Always keep your pin number secret and report any suspicious people hanging around cash points to the police.”

Anyone who can help police with the incident in Sittingbourne is asked to contact the town's police station on 01795 419255 or Kent CrimeStoppers on 0800 555111.
