PRINCE CHARLES: hectic schedule

PRINCE Charles visited four towns in the county on Tuesday - Ramsgate, Chatham, Maidstone and Rochester.

In Ramsgate, the Prince saw the restoration work at the Grange which was designed by Augustus Putin as his family home and completed in 1844.

The Prince then opened a new library at the Historic Dockyard in Chatham. His visit marked the 20th anniversary of the Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust.

In Maidstone he visited Blackthorn Medical Centre, which won one of the first of the Prince of Wales' Foundation for Integrated Health, best practice awards in 2002.

He ended his tour by attending a service at Rochester Cathedral to mark the 1400th anniversary of the foundation of the cathedral.
