A 43-year-old property developer from Romney Marsh has been charged by Kent Police with attempted murder.

Phillip Anthony Cowell, of Cheyne Court Farm, Old Romney, near Hythe, was arrested on Monday following an incident at his home address.

He was charged with attempted murder on Wednesday and is due to appear at Ashford Magistrates' Court today.
