Motorsport will meet the military when a race track holds a charity extravaganza for wounded troops.

Brands Hatch will join forces with Help for Heroes this bank holiday weekend during the UK round of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.

The circuit, in Fawkham, is inviting a range of military-themed entertainment in a bid to raise cash for the charity, which supports servicemen and women injured in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The three day event begins on Friday.

The charity will also be providing an array of military-themed entertainment, including performances from a Royal British Legion Youth Band, the Red Devils parachute display team and the Tristar Twirlers majorette troupe.

Tickets for the A1GP Brands Hatch cost from £29 for adults on race day with free entry for children aged 12 and under.
