NSPCC chief executive visits Kent amid record-breaking year for abuse reports

Statistics released by the NSPCC show it had a record-breaking year for calls from youngsters in distress.

The charity's chief executive, Peter Wanless says an averge of two children in every primary school classroom reported neglect, abuse and bullying when calling Childline.

He revealed the figures as he visited Kent to raise awareness about the problem.
