A record investment of £400 million is to spent improving Kent's rail links in the next 10 months.
The plan, which was revealed during an event staged by rail bosses in Rochester, includes creating 150 new jobs, 25 apprenticeships, and space for 40,000 more rush-hour commuters.
It comes after months of controversy and chaos on the county's rail network that led to the resignation Charles Horton, chief executive of Govia Thameslink, the company which runs Southern.
