Road accident victim airlifted to hospital

Kent Air Ambulance

A person has been airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.

They were involved in an accident between a car and a motorbike in Miercourt Road, Gillingham early on Saturday afternoon.

Along with police, an air ambulance was sent to the scene and the road was closed between the junctions of Cherry Tree Road and Harvester Close.

The serious collision investigation unit has been examining the scene.

Another person was taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital, where they are being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
