A serious accident involving a lorry and a car has led to the closure of a Dartford Road for more than two hours.

Emergency services were called to the crash in Green Street Green Road, outside Leigh Academy, at 2.40pm today (Tuesday).

A spokesman for Dartford Fire Station said they had reports of people being trapped.

The road is still closed between Princes Road and Gore Road, and police said the incident may go on for some time.
