POLICE are investigating an apparent case of road rage that left a 60-year-old man badly beaten.

The roadside assault occurred on Hever Road, West Kingsdown, near Sevenoaks, on Saturday at around 2.30pm, when the local victim was driving along the A20 from Swanley towards West Kingsdown in a blue Peugeot car.

There was an altercation between his and another vehicle near the Farningham roundabout, and the driver of a yellow VW hatchback proceeded to follow his car to Hever Road near the Co-op.

Two men then got out of the hatchback and assaulted the man, causing a cracked rib and cuts to his face.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the cars in the area or witnessed the incident near the Co-op to contact them on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
