TWO members of staff from a shop were ambushed by robbers as they walked to a nearby post office with money in a bag for banking.

Police say the incident happened in the High Street, Rusthall, near Tunbridge Wells, at about 3pm on Monday.

The victims, from One Stop Shop, were approached from behind by the robbers who had emerged from the direction of Manor Road. They pushed one member of staff and grabbed the bag she was carrying.

The two men then ran back into Manor Road and got into a silver coloured N registration Ford saloon car and drove off in the direction of Speldhurst.
