THREE cats have been shot with what are believed to be air rifle pellets in the last three weeks.

The RSPCA has launched an appeal for information about the shootings - one of which happened in Biggin Hill.

Dusty, a ginger tabby, was shot with an air rifle near his home in Village Green Avenue, Biggin Hill.

Another was a black cat called Charlie who was shot through the eye on Friday, April 4 in Eltham.

Charlie had to have his eye removed after the attack but is now making a good recovery.

The first shooting was in Westerham three weeks ago. Another black cat, Rubin, was shot in the back. He is also recovering.

RSPCA Insp Sonya Gray said: “We would like to hear from anyone with any information about these horrendous attacks.”

The RSPCA can be contacted in confidence on 0300 123 4999.
