Rugby club president dies at 83

JACK Williams, president of Aylesford Rugby Club, has died at the age of 83.
Mr Williams, who was a rear gunner during the Second World War, was one of the founder members of Linton Rugby Club which was formed in 1975.
In the past 30 years the club has become one of the most successful in Kent, changing its name to Aylesford in 1997, when it moved to its present site at Ferryfields.
At one time Mr Williams was licensee of The Bull public house at Linton, near Maidstone.
