A 46-YEAR-OLD man who vanished for five days with a teenage girl has been arrested on suspicion of abduction and indecent assault.

David Milner, from Gillingham, fled to the Scottish Highlands with 14-year-old Stacey Champ.

The couple disappeared last Thursday and were spotted in Bristol and Blackpool before being discovered early yesterday sleeping in a parked car in Berriedale in Caithness.

Mr Milner is being interviewed by Medway Police. A spokesman said no charges had yet been made against the father-of-three.

Stacey has now been reunited with her mother who has spoken at a press conference of her joy that her daughter had been found safe and well.
