Young film fans at two Thanet primary schools are about to welcome a VIP guests from the exciting world of movies to their clubs.

Sim Evan Jones, a film editor who worked on Shrek I, II and III, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and Madagascar, will meet the youngsters on Tuesday (27th).

He will attend the weekly film club at St Saviour’s School in Westgate. Pupils from St Peter's School, Broadstairs, the only other Thanet school running the Film Club initiative, will also attend.

The after-school clubs are linked to the national educational 'Love Film’ initiative which gives children the opportunity to appreciate, review and comment on films.

They watch a different film each week and have access to a website where they can read reviews from other children and input their own reviews.
