Upper Luton Road, Chatham.

A second man has admitted his part in a double stabbing in Medway at the end of last year.

Warren Bennett pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court this week.

Bennett, of Upper Luton Road, Chatham, had previously denied the charge, which relates to the double stabbing which happened in his road in December.

Another man, Richard Peter Mumford, 28, also of Upper Luton Road, had already pleaded guilty to the same charge.

The incident happened at about 3am on Sunday 20, December, after two men suffered stab wounds.

At the time both needed surgery and Upper Luton Road was closed for most of the day for forensic investigations to be carried out.

One of the men wounded was Warren Bennett, who was arrested after he was released from hospital.

Two women who were also arrested at the time were later released without charge.

Both Bennett and Mumford have been remanded into custody and are due to be sentenced the same court in July.
