A SUSPECTED paedophile has been arrested by police after allegedly removing a child’s top and touching her.

The 30-year-old man was seen acting suspiciously around children playing on a green in Laleham Road in Margate on Sunday.

A member of the public telephoned the police and said that the man had undone his trousers and was approaching children asking where they lived. He was then seen pulling a girl’s top down and touching her chest.

The man, from Brighton, was arrested in Dane Park and released on police bail to return to Margate police station on May 21.
