A riverside footpath was closed by police investigating a suspected sexual assault in Maidstone on Sunday.

Residents living in flats alongside the River Len, near the Sainsbury’s store at Romney Place, Maidstone, were also questioned on Sunday afternoon, as police searched the area.

It is believed the incident happened around Sunday lunchtime.
