Shock as groom dies just hours after wedding

TRAGIC COUPLE: Darren Payne and Deena Harvey

A NEW bride is mourning the death of her husband less than 24 hours after they were married.

Deena Harvey, 26, of Bogarde Drive, Wainscott, married her fiance Darren Payne, 30, at the St Philip and St James Church in Upnor on Saturday, August 26.

But tragedy struck when Mr Payne suffered heart problems during the early hours of Sunday morning .

An ambulance was called and he was taken to Darent Valley Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Deena said: "He was a very popular guy and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

"The wedding was lovely. Darren was very happy and he didn’t say he felt unwell on the day."
