A shopping centre was evacuated this evening as police investigated what was thought to be a suspicious package.

Hundreds of shoppers were told to leave The Glades in Bromley just before 6pm as a search was carried out.

But a Metropolitan Police spokesman has confirmed that the hunt has now ended and that nothing suspicious has been found.
