Shot police officer 'doing well'

A YOUNG police officer who was shot in both legs in December is making a good recovery, say Bromley police.

The 22-year-old PC was shot while responding to a call in Madeira Avenue, Shortlands, along with three colleagues. He is not yet well enough to return to work.

* Zartash Khan, 19, of Denmark Hill, south London, is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, March 1, to enter a plea for the attempted murder of a police officer in Bromley.
