TIGHT security was the order of the day at a Kent hotel where TV funnyman Vic Reeves married girlfriend Nancy Sorrell at the weekend.

A number of security men patrolled the grounds outside push Eastwell Manor, at Boughton Aluph, near Ashford.

Two of them stood watch at the main gates and checked every car arriving, ensuring only invited guests gained entry.

Vic, 43, wearing a dark suit and his trademark black-rimmed glasses, arrived driving a green Bentley. His comic partner Bob Mortimer was there, along with Johnny Vegas and Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson from the Fast Show.

Mr Reeves, real name Jim Moir, shares a home with 25-year-old Miss Sorrell in Charing, near Ashford.
