The scarecrow as it would look like on Romney Marsh

Forget the Angel of the North, Romney Marsh is set to have its own iconic statue!

Plans are being put together to build a giant scarecrow on the marsh.

Creator of the Folkestone White Horse Charles Newington is also on board to help with advice and ideas, having seen his own creation become a much-loved symbol of the town.
