Strong winds mean floodlights might not be in used in Kent's one-day clash with Surrey

Kent Spitfires' NatWest Pro40 home game against Surrey Brown Caps at Canterbury on Thursday has been reduced to 27 overs a side.

There will be a 10-minute break between the innings and the team batting second will bat as long as the light allows. If the floodlights can't be put up it is hoped that natural light will allow the completion of at least 10 overs which will constitute a match.

This is the second year running that this has happened at the St Lawrence Ground.

As a goodwill gesture, all ticket holders for the game can return free of charge for the NatWest Pro40 home game against Warwickshire Bears at Canterbury on Sunday, September 13.
