Sugar tax could hit pubs in Kent

Landlords in Kent are worried more pubs will have to close as a result of the sugar tax being introduced.

The levy was brought in by the government on sugary drinks to try to improve our health, but some pub owners are already feeling the impact as popular beverages become more expensive.

They argue this means they cannot compete with the price of soft drinks sold in shops and supermarkets.
