Suspect charged over bookmaker robberies

A man from Gillingham has been charged in connection with two bookmaker robberies.

Corey Lee Graham, of Balmoral Road, was arrested on Wednesday 2 June.

The 33-year-old was charged at Medway Police Station yesterday.

The first robbery took place on April 21 at the William Hill shop on Barnsole Road, Gillingham.

A man entered the shop and demanded cash from staff working there before fleeing.

The second robbery took place on May 13 at the Coral shop on Delce Road, Rochester.

Again, a lone man entered the shop and demanded cash.

Graham is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court this morning.
