Teenager badly injured in crash

A TEENAGER was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision on a dual carriageway.

The Kent Air Ambulance was called to the A228 at Snodland, at 4.35pm yesterday, following reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

The male casualty was treated at the scene by paramedics for a “severe leg wound” before being transported by land ambulance to Medway Maritime Hospital.

Ambulance staff said the teenager had sustained injured to his right arm and leg, together with possible abdominal injuries.

The air ambulance landed in a nearby industrial unit just over 200 yards away before repositioning onto the dual carriageway.

Police were also at the scene and the road was closed from 5.17pm to 6.27pm.
