A 16-year-old youth has serious head injuries after an attack outside a nightclub.

The teenager is in Medway Maritime Hospital with a suspected fractured skull after an assault outside the Amadeus nightclub in Medway Valley Park, Cuxton, near Rochester.

A spokesman for Medway Ambulance Station said: "We were called to the scene at 3am on Saturday.

"The 16-year-old had serious head injuries and was taken to Medway's accident and emergency department."

A man was arrested but has been bailed pending further inquiries.
