MARGATE'S inshore lifeboat and a coastguard team rescued two teenage boys from a beach after they had become trapped by the tide at Cliftonville.

It is understood one of the youngsters suffered a broken ankle.

The boys, both in their early teens, had found themselves stranded on the beach at around 7pm on Friday just as it was getting dark.
