A MOTHER has spoken about the terrifying moment she was attacked by a man who had followed her daughter and a friend home.

The incident began as Jackie Kruse's daughter, Tiffany, 14, was walking home in Rainham with her friend Hannah Bushell, also 14. They noticed they were being followed by two men.

They reached Tiffany's house safely but while she was telling her mother about the incident, one of the men pressed his hands and face against the window.

An hour later the two men were spotted watching the house from across the road. Jackie, a former Metropolitan police officer, then went after them both.

During the chase one of the men punched her in the face before running off.

Tiffany said: "It frightened me and it's made me really paranoid about staying in on my own."

Hannah said: "The whole thing has frightened me. My mum has become very protective and I’m not allowed out once it starts getting dark."

The ordeal took place on July 21.
