They are touted as the best places to stand in the UK.

And already, after a week's fierce voting, two Kent landmarks stand proud in the nation's top 20.

Website StoodThere.com is compiling the list, which includes the best places to stand in the US, Europe and the UK.

First in the voting so far for the UK is St Paul's Cathedral, with Shakespeare's birthplace Stratford on Avon and Trafalgar Square vying for the number one spot.

But in 16th place is the White Cliffs of Dover, and coming in at 11 is Canterbury Cathedral.
